GSA Data Center 01 Company Limited (“GSA”), a joint venture formed by Gulf Development, Singtel, and AIS, has secured a THB 900 million (USD 26.8 million) green loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to support the development, construction, and operation of our 25.6 MW green colocation data center in Samut Prakan, Thailand. The facility is scheduled to commence operations in 2025.
Designed to Tier III standards and an expected LEED Gold certification, the project represents ADB’s first-ever financing in Thailand’s data center sector—underscoring GSA’s role as a leader in sustainable digital infrastructure. The majority of available capacity will serve technology and AI-driven customers, supported by renewable energy options through energy certificates and green procurement frameworks.
This milestone strengthens GSA’s contribution to Thailand’s national sustainability goals, including the country’s commitment to reduce emissions by 30% by 2030, achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, and reach net-zero emissions by 2065. The project was evaluated under ADB’s Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) program, which provided comprehensive due diligence on data center emissions and renewable energy strategies.
This achievement follows ADB’s broader collaboration within the Gulf ecosystem. In December 2024, ADB and Gulf Renewable Energy Company Limited completed an USD 820 million financing package for 12 renewable energy projects across Thailand, including solar PV and solar-plus-storage developments totaling more than 600 MW of clean energy capacity.
